where do i look to find the perfect horse?

my daghter is 13 and I am trying to buy her a horse shes about 5'7 and not experienced however i as a child had a horse that was a paint but i did not train it or raise it cause it was my sisters and she died in a car acedent but my child is very good with horses she went to a horse camp where they had there own horse for a week to take care of but they were very well trained still she got 1st place! and we defenetly have to get a pony for her but we don't know what breed is best,what to look for to make shore the horse is healthy,where to find a cheaper pony that is trained for trail riding and very kind and easy going.

The safest way to do this is find a trainer in the area and take some lessons then ask them to help you find a horse in your price range and riding level. I would help you if your in my area. Next you could check out sites like dreamhorse.com it is really good or soem other horse for sale sites and there are a bunch of them. Prices are really low right now even for GOOD BROKE horses so dont let anyone including a trainer tell you that you have to spend a fortune. I got a gelding for $100 andother free and another for $650 and recently bought a mare and filly for $800. You just have to know where to look.
